Capsule Hotels Are Spreading Around the World
Capsule Hotels Are Spreading Around the World..

This term capsule hotel, which was first coined by the Japanese in 1979, is quite surprising. Do not think that people stay in capsule hotels for holiday purposes. In these hotels, where the cost is quite low and you can stay for very small amounts, everything is thought of on a single person basis. Single cabins can be arranged side by side and on top of each other. Capsules are generally two-storey and those who reserve the capsule on the upper floor can go to the second floor with the help of steps. So much so that some types of these capsules only have beds and there is no space for people to stand. It is like a coffin and quite scary, especially for those with claustrophobia. Of course, there are also capsule hotels that are more reasonable. There are areas where people can stand, and there are also personalized nightstands. However, in this case, the prices increase slightly. In other words, if we consider it in Turkish currency, if it is 30 Liras per night in the first example, it has room to stand. In the example that is less scary in my personal opinion, it can go up to 60-70 Liras per night.
The most popular one and its starting point is the capsule hotel located in Tokyo, the capital of Japan, where you can stay for only 9 hours. Its customer portfolio is train passengers who are delayed in Japan. These passengers stay in these cabins called capsules without having to take expensive taxis, go home and come back again. For this reason, this application first started its adventure in train stations. It was later placed in other cities and the duration of stay was 9 hours.
There are capsule hotels in countries such as Japan, China, Russia and Singapore, and especially tourists who go to Japan and China definitely experience capsule hotels, which they see as something different. There is no information about the existence of capsule hotels in our country yet. When we look at it, it is unlikely that it will be preferred for permanent use, but in a commercial sense, it is a hotel that can be preferred by many people in bus terminals, airports, cruise ports, etc., when people just need to sleep or clean, shower, etc. variety.
Let's see if an entrepreneurial group will take action to open and popularize the first capsule hotel in our country.
